2021 SUMMER HORSE & FARM CAMP SCHEDULE
SESSION I — YOUNG GIRLS BEGINNER CAMP (half-day camp)
9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
**Orientation begins at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday
BEFORE & AFTERCARE AVAILABLE ($20 per hour)

This session is designed for very beginner girls who love horses, but who have never had the opportunity to be around them, or who have attended our camps in the past but are not ready for the next level of horsemanship. In this session, we will teach the girls basic western riding, how to groom and saddle a horse, and how to perfect their seat and balance.
Also included: horse arena games with Grab Bag rewards, participating in horse/farm-related activities, Arts & Crafts, swimming, A riding program will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Friday. Lunch and refreshments are provided by Splendor Farms and a tour of the farm is offered by the camper and her counselor.

BEFORE & AFTERCARE AVAILABLE ($15 per hour)
In this session, we will teach the girls basic western riding and horsemanship and groom, saddle, and walk/trot in the arena and lope on a lunge line to perfect their seat and balance. They will play horse arena games and participate in Arts & Crafts and enjoy cooking, gardening, and swimming, plus have access to the Petting Farm and Kennel for veterinarian work.
A guest speaker will come during the week to discuss one of any of the following topics: Horse nutrition, hoof care, teeth care, show dog grooming, or master gardening.
On Friday, the rodeo will begin at 11:00 a.m. Girls may compete in all or some of the following: Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Texas Barrels, Quads, and western pleasure patterns on horseback. (rodeo program varies). Ribbon awards presentation after the rodeo. Lunch and refreshments are provided by Splendor Farms and a tour of the farm is offered by the camper.
Monday, June 14th to Friday, June 18th, 2021
**Orientation begins at 9:00 a.m. on Monday
In this session we expect the girls to know how to catch up, groom, and saddle their own horse and the basic schooling patterns with walk/trot/lope warm-ups with minimum instruction. They will play horse arena games and participate in Arts & Crafts and enjoy cooking, gardening, fishing, and swimming, plus have access to the Petting Farm and Kennel for veterinarian work.
A guest speaker will come during the week to discuss one of any of the following topics: Horse nutrition, hoof care, teeth care, show dog grooming, or master gardening.

COVID Disclaimer: All Campers will need to wash their hands and do temperature checks upon arriving at camp every morning. There will be handwashing breaks at various times during the day/evening. We will not require masks while riding. All tack and restroom facilities will be sanitized and disinfected throughout the day/night, as well as the Campers Bunkhouse and picnic eating areas to the best of our ability.
All camper's family members/guests will need to wear masks, unless they are socially distancing from the other campers and their guests, i.e. at the rodeo, car line, orientation (will be held outside) for the safety of not only yourself and other guests, but for our staff and animals. Our staff will also be wearing masks and following every precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit to the farm. .
* You must bring your own mask but if you forget, we do offer complimentary, disposable masks

Please Note: Overnight camps are limited to 6 girls and campers should be mature enough to spend the night away from home.
Orientation begins at 9:00 a.m. on the first day of camp and usually lasts about 30 minutes. Please do not be late. We need to start on time so those who need to get to work/class are not delayed. Before and aftercare is available.
Our camp counselors are some of the best around and each counselor is CPR certified and has many years of camp and equine experience.

We strive to run safe trips. All guests should realize the inherent dangers in horseback riding and other outdoor activities.
Please Note: Persons over 250 pounds are not able to be adequately accommodated due to saddle size, their comfort, and the comfort of our horses. We hope you understand that for the safety, comfort, and well being of everyone involved that we cannot allow persons over 250 pounds to ride with us.
