Here at Splendor Farms, we pride ourselves on offering the best trail riding facility in the area, as we are privately owned.

Our guides are the best around with decades of experience, some began here as campers and are now the friendliest guides around!  They remember what it was like to be nervous!

We ride through creeks & woods, across big fields, and around lakes. We ride across different terrain on all our trails and never see the same tree twice! Deer, egrets, herons, and beautiful scenery are along every ride, even the occasional alligator and wild hog come across our rides! Our horses are some of the best around – we have horses from the gentlest old mare to “off track” geldings. There is a horse here for everyone of any experience level!

Trail Rides!

Please Note: We ride seven (7) days a week.  However, available times will vary based upon the number of people we book for horseback rides, which include birthday parties, scout troops, etc... and for our overnight guests.  Please fill out the form below and request your dates and time and we will reach out to you or you can text to 985.867.7176  ALL OUR RIDES ARE SCHEDULED BY RESERVATION.  If you choose to show up without a reservation there is an additional $75.00 charge to go to the fields to bring extra horses up for you and/or your guest(s) to ride.

SAFETY INFORMATION
This is a must-read as you agree to these terms when you register.

We strive to run safe trips. All guests should realize the inherent dangers in horseback riding and other outdoor activities.

They should be in good physical condition. Each guest will be required to sign an “Agreement to Participate and An Affirmation of Risk” (see waiver form below). Guests under the age of eighteen will need a parent’s signature on the agreement. Only parents and legal guardians can sign these forms. If you are bringing your kid’s friends, these forms can be downloaded from our website in advance of your stay/ride so their parent/guardian can sign the waiver and date it the day(s) they will be here.

All riders must be age 7 or older to ride the trails. This is for horseback riding for any guest on the farm including overnight guests. It is at the barn's discretion if they deem a child is not mature or tall enough, regardless of age, as to whether or not they can ride on the trail. We would offer an alternate arena ride with a parent or guardian supervision, at that time.

Pregnant riders must have signed authorization from your OB-GYN stating you are able to ride and the date you are going to ride. If you do not have a written “okay from your doctor” we CANNOT let you ride.

We ride Western. All of the rides are guided. We do not allow double riding. Children must wear helmets, which we provide. Riders with no experience are welcome!

Regarding Monthly Promotions, please note:  If you book and pay for a horseback ride or any one of our B&B rooms; Guest Cottage during a promotional month, it is our policy that you use the service you purchased during the promotional month. We do not allow "carry over" purchases unless we need to reschedule your reservation due to no fault of yours, pandemic reasons and/or the weather.  We will work with you to reschedule the best date and time that meets your schedule as well as our availability.

Please Note: Persons over 250 pounds are not able to be adequately accommodated due to saddle size, their comfort, and the comfort of our horses. We hope you understand that for the safety, comfort, and well being of everyone involved that we cannot allow persons over 250 pounds to ride with us.

Please read our full Horse Riding Rules and Policies Page as you agree to these terms by signing up and it is critical you understand everything and ask questions prior to coming out.

Please Note: All cancellations must be made in writing.
