"Mrs. Kelly,
Thank you so much for our wonderful day, we really enjoyed our time. My fiance absolutely loved being back on a horse after so many years of not being on one. We couldn't have asked for a better day/experience. We will surely be back and are very excited about ya'll being so close. We have a 3 year old nephew that we would like to show the goats and sheep. Again thanks for the day and we look forward to seeing you soon.

"Mrs. Kelly,
I just wanted to say thank you for letting me spend the day at Splendor Farms. I love Casper, he's so cute and short. Hopefully next time I come to one of the camps or just to ride I can ride him again.
P.S. Please let me know when Sweetheart gets better, and give her a big kiss on the nose!" - Lauren P., October 2010

"Hi, Kelly! We had such a great time Saturday. James and Ashley were fantastic! So tell them I will have to get them next time! And we are looking into the October session now for Paige. She just adores you and all of your pets :) Being a single mom, with 2 'almost teenagers', it's a sigh of relief to get them to stop fighting long enough to smile and share a day with me with no fussing, and you helped create that day for us. Thanks so much!"

Tressa & Jeff

Jeff surprised Tressa on her birthday by bringing her to do a Spend the Day at Splendor Farms. After going on a two hour trail ride (first time either had ridden) they came back to a lunch of fried chicken, baked macaroni & cheese, fresh snap beans, tomato & cucumber salad, and garlic bread! To celebrate the birthday girl, dessert was an angel food cake with strawberries and homemade whipped cream! Happy Birthday, Tressa!
"I just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful day Friday! We really appreciated your hospitality and undivided attention. And the food was amazing....by far the best home-cooked meal I've ever had. The horses were wonderful, and the trail ride was an adventure. It was the most memorable and wonderful birthday ever!!" - Tressa, Oct. 2009
Kirstin & Andrew

Andrew, a specialist with the US Army, and his girlfriend, Kirstin, came to spend the day at Splendor Farms before he is transferred to Alaska. Arriving early gave them the chance to explore the farm while the horses were getting ready for the trail. The lunch prepared for them was Chicken Spaghetti Katherine with fresh snap beans from the garden and salad with garlic bread. Dessert was lemon cake with blueberry sauce. Even though they didn't bring bathing suits, they went to the nearby Dollar General and purchased some so they could relax on the rafts in the pool. Leaving that afternoon, "Pocket" (shown below) won the lottery! They took her home to live with Kirstin when Specialist Andrew goes back to work!

Carol's Birthday
On January 8th, an unusually warm day, Tina organized a surprise birthday gift for Carol: a two-and-a-half hour trail ride and BBQ lunch consisting of chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob, tomato/cucumber salad, lemonade from our meyer lemon trees and a cake with ice cream! A special treat was getting to watch us slaughter guinea hens for dinner that night! Carol could have done without that part!!!
