Girl Scout Troop #422 with troop leader Barbara Cousins came to Splendor Farms

but they made the barn a Rules Poster for the Horseback Riding visitors! Great group
of girls! Thanks for coming and we will see some of you back for our Summer Camps!!!

Girl Scouts from Troop 10308 in Baton Rouge, LA came to Splendor Farms to earn their horsemanship badge. It took us 4 hours, but all 19 girls were able to fish, play with the dachshunds, learn about the pigs, chickens, sheep, and goats, and got to take a trail ride! Thanks for adding another "rules poster" to our barn!!! Great job, girls!!

"I just wanted to thank you guys for today's Horse ride. My daughter and I had a fabulous day. Also, Brett, was a great guy. Lucky man, he's living the dream. Also, I thought your facility was very clean. I can't imagine the work it takes to keep it clean on a daily basis. I give you guys major props for that. All the animals look very happy and healthy. We will definitely be coming back :) " - Lori, October, 2011

Tyler brought Megan for a two hour trail ride on the most beautiful October day!
Riding Cosmo and Megan on Duke, we rode around blue lakes and through the woods!
After riding, we directed them to Hog Heaven BBQ for lunch!

Jeff surprised Tressa on her birthday by bringing her to do a Spend the Day at Splendor Farms. After going on a two hour trail ride (first time either had ridden) they came back to a lunch of fried chicken, baked macaroni & cheese, fresh snap beans, tomato & cucumber salad, and garlic bread! To celebrate the birthday girl, dessert was an angel food cake with strawberries and homemade whipped cream! Happy Birthday, Tressa!

"I just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful day Friday! We really appreciated your hospitality and undivided attention. And the food was amazing....by far the best home-cooked meal I've ever had. The horses were wonderful, and the trail ride was an adventure.  It was the most memorable and wonderful birthday ever!!" - Tressa, Oct. 2009

Nicky, a professor at UNO in New Orleans, and Tara, a landscaping consultant,
who both happen to be from England, came to do the two hour trail ride!
Buddy D & Gentleman Jack were perfect for the girls! You two need to do a
Spend the Day next time and let us fix you a proper English lunch!

Zach brought his Dad (Mark) to take in a two and a half hour trail ride
on Duke & Gracie!  Beautiful weather and good quality dad/son time!
Hope to see British Medium in the winners circle, Mark!!!
